Differences between generations 2.0 and 3.0

The graphic below shows the most important differences between the two generations of MITO LIGHT® red light therapy devices.

However, in order to properly understand the differences, it is also necessary to know the explanation of the technologies used.


Why does generation 3.0 use 4 wavelengths?

The red and near-infrared spectra in MITO LIGHT® 3.0 are both made up of a combination of two wavelengths. The first two are the "old familiar"wavelengths of 660 nm (red) and 850 nm (near-infrared), proven by practice and sciencewhich are also found in the MITO LIGHT® 2.0 generation. However, we wanted to push the efficiency and effectiveness even further, and therefore investigated in detail the mechanism of light absorption in the mitochondria [R]. Our scientific research has resulted in two new wavelengths with maximum absorption and efficiency - 670 nm (red) and 830 nm (near-infrared). We are convinced that this unique four wavelength combination takes red light therapy to the next level!

What is the difference between a 60 degree and a 30 degree lens beam angle?

LEDs that have a 60 degree angle have a greater side-to-side dispersion and can therefore illuminate a larger part of the body. However, the disadvantage is that the light loses its irradiation power more quickly and therefore needs to be used from a shorter distance.

LEDs that have a 30 degree angle emit light more directly and have less sideways dispersion. When using this type of LED in the generation 3.0, we have solved the lower dispersion by using a higher density of LEDs and larger device sizes. With the appropriate use of this technology, the new generation 3.0 benefits from higher irradiance even from longer distances, allowing for more comfortable use.
